PARISH PERSONALITY
Saint Andrew’s is a small, friendly parish of more than 60 households. Worshippers come from several neighboring communities. All age groups are in evidence, and we offer church school each Sunday. Since 2009, St. Andrew's and Church of the Transfiguration in Towaco have been "linked" parishes, joining together for worship, and sharing a Rector and Choir Director. St. Andrew’s and Trainsfiguration strive to nurture fellowship within our parish families through combined activities ranging from Coffee Hours after the main service on Sunday to potluck suppers, picnics, weekday programs during Advent and Lent, and dinners on Election Day and Shrove Tuesday. We are always glad to greet visitors or newcomers at either parish, and we strive to make everyone feel completely welcome.

PARISH PROGRAMS
Our parishioners participate in a number of activities that support the church and provide fellowship and recreation.
Church School
Children from pre-school through eighth grade receive religious instruction on Sunday mornings with a group of dedicated, hard working teachers. The children and their teachers then return to the church and receive communion with the parish family. The church school students make a Christmas Eve presentation, celebrate the school year with a Church School picnic each spring and participate in Outreach programs by collecting food for the local food pantry and helping with the St. John's Soup Kitchen in Boonton, NJ.
Choir
St. Andrew’s has a small but dedicated adult choir that sings at the 10:00 a.m. Sunday service. The choirs of St. Andrew's and Church of the Transfiguation participate in numerous combined services throughout the year including Christmas Eve, Easter Vigil, Easter Day and joint worship services. Both choirs are under the direction of our Choir Director, Fran Morton. New members are always welcome.
Ways and Means Committee
Our Ways and Means Committee is responsible for our annual fundraisers, including a spring Wine, Beer & Cheese Tasting, Beefsteaks, and Flower Bulb Sale. Past fundraisers included Entertainment Book sales, Lia Sophia and Pampered Chef parties.
Altar Guild
Devoted members of the parish responsible for preparing the sanctuary for services.
Eucharistic Ministers, Lay Readers, Acolytes and Ushers
These parishioners assist the Rector during services.
Annual Parish Picnic
We hold our annual parish picnic each year in September our friends from Church of the Transfiguration. We begin with a Holy Eucharist service followed by a picnic and games for the entire family.
"The Sharing"
Our bi- monthly newsletter is a combined newsletter for the parishioners of both St. Andrew's and Church of the Transfiguration.
